Visitor Information

Welcome

Visitors are an important component of the healing process. It is also important that we provide a quiet, restful and secure environment for all out patients. Please remember that when visiting your loved ones.

Lompoc Hospital is a non-smoking facility.

Visiting Hours

From 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily

Exceptions to the above will be made when there is a special need. Children of all ages are welcome to visit but must be accompanied by an adult who supervises them at all times. Because of the limited size of rooms and because most rooms are semi-private, visitors are limited to two (2) at a time.

Protecting our Patients

Please do not visit if you have a fever, a cold, a sore throat, the flu, or recently have been exposed to, but never had, chicken pox, measles, or mumps. This is a protection of your loved one and others who are hospitalized.

Pediatrics

Parents and grandparents may visit at any time. We encourage one parent to be with the child at all times. Healthy siblings may visit but please limit their visit to 30 minutes or less.

Labor and Delivery

The father or significant other may stay and visit at any time. Other visitors are welcome, but only two (2) at a time, please. Since the waiting area is small, you may be asked to wait in the Main Lobby when visiting the prospective mother.

OB/Postpartum

The father or significant other may visit at any time. Grandparents and friends are encouraged to visit; please limit the number to two (2) at a time. Healthy siblings are encouraged to visit with a responsible adult. Please limit sibling visits to 30 minutes or less. Siblings who have been exposed to contagious diseases or are sick may not visit when the newborn is in the room.

Visitors are welcome. The length of the visit may be adjusted by the nurse caring for the patient. The rooms are small and visitors are limited to two (2) at a time. There is a visitor restriction when shifts change. Those times are 6am to 7am and 6pm to 7pm. There is a waiting room and garden across from CCU for your use.

Surgery Waiting

Family members waiting for either inpatients or outpatients may wait in the Surgery Waiting Room. Please let the nurse know who you are so you may be notified when the patient is out of surgery and so the surgeon may talk to you when the surgery is complete.

The Cafe

The Hickory Street Cafe is located at the northwest corner of the building. Breakfast lunch and dinner are served Monday through Friday. It is closed on weekends. The Cafe opens at 7am and closes at 7pm. Snacks are available when meals are not being served. There are also vending machines available on the back patio.

Gift Shop

The hospital gift shop is located just off the main lobby. Times when open are posted on the door.

Discharge Planning

Planning for after hospital care will be started upon admission to the hospital. The services of a Case Manager/Discharge Planner are available to assist the patient and the family to determine their needs for discharge.
