Jessica Vasquez was recently promoted to Manager of Patient Access at the hospital.
“Jessica brings an impressive nine years of hospital experience to this role, including the past three years serving as Supervisor of Acute Registration,” said Sue Nooney, Director of Patient Access and North H Center manager. “Throughout her career, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication and a commitment to providing outstanding service to our patients and staff.”
Jessica is a team player who consistently brings a positive attitude to the acute registration team, Nooney said.
“Her strong communication skills have enabled effective collaboration across the many departments that interact with Patient Access, helping to strengthen relationships and improve operational efficiency throughout the organization,” Nooney added.
A Lompoc native, Jessica previously worked in private in-home hospice care and also for the City of Lompoc in Utility Conservation.
Jessica began her career at LVMC as a per diem Emergency Department Ward Clerk. She said she has always been committed to advancing her career.
“I've never been someone who is content staying in the same position,” Jessica said. “I am always looking for opportunities to learn, grow and challenge myself.”
When she saw a full-time opening in the Registration Department, she knew it was the path for her goal. She quickly discovered she had a passion for serving patients and supporting her team.
“Through hard work, I advanced from Registration to Lead, then Supervisor and now proudly serve as Manager,” Jessica said. “My journey is a reminder that it's possible to grow from an entry-level position into a leadership role.”
She said she’s been fortunate to work alongside people who have supported and encouraged her growth.
“I truly love my job and the team I work with, and I am grateful for the opportunities that have helped shape my career,” Jessica said. “If there is one message I hope others take away from my story, it is this: if you are hardworking, dedicated and willing to keep learning, there is always room to grow. No matter where you start, your commitment and perseverance can open doors to new opportunities. I am proud of how far I've come and excited for what lies ahead.”
Congratulations, Jessica!
