Helpful Resources for Your Parenting Journey
Whether you’re preparing for your baby’s arrival or adjusting to life at home, we want to ensure you have access to the tools, forms, and support you need. From birth certificate paperwork to packing lists, breastfeeding guidance, and community connections, our resource center is here to help make your experience as smooth and informed as possible.
Birth Certificates - A birth clerk will visit you during your stay to complete necessary forms.
Download Forms HerePre-Registration - Complete registration about eight weeks before your due date to help with insurance and billing setup. Call 805-737-3300 for assistance.
What to Bring to the Hospital - We provide everything you’ll need, but you may choose to bring:
- Lip balm, massage oil
- Slippers, socks, flip-flops
- Nursing bra and pillow
- Breast pump (staff can provide instructions)
- Robe or nightgown
- Charger, glasses, ID, insurance documents
- Your birth plan

Literacy 2.0 Program — Parents of newborns may sign up to receive free, high-quaility books for children up to age 5, mailed to their homes via Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in partnership with LVMC and United Way Northern Santa Barbara County. There are options for English or Spanish/bilingual books by signing up here.
