Term of Service

LVMC Board members are publicly elected to four-year terms. Elections are held in the General Election of even-numbered years. In 2026, there will be 2 seats open for election. Board members may also be appointed by the LVMC Board if a Board vacancy occurs between election cycles. There is no limit on the number of terms an LVMC Board member may serve. However, the term of any member of the board of directors shall expire if he or she is absent from three consecutive regular meetings, or from three of any five consecutive meetings of the board and the board by resolution declares that a vacancy exists on the board.

Board Qualifications

LVMC Board members must be registered voters who reside within the Lompoc Healthcare District boundaries.
