Recovery on the Central Coast

The Champion Center, Lompoc Healthcare District’s chemical dependency treatment facility, is open for business and is establishing itself as the region’s premier treatment center.

Located in the footprint of the former Lompoc Valley Medical Center site on C Street, the Champion Center has a 34-bed medical services unit; a 16-bed residential treatment unit called The Oaks and 30 recovery residences designed to provide a home-like environment for patients enrolled in outpatient treatment.

We provide the full continuum of care in one treatment location -- preventing the need to transition from one facility to another while accessing care.

The Champion Center celebrated the opening of The Oaks residential treatment unit in June, making us “fully operational” with all of the components of the continuum of care accepting patients.

The opening of The Oaks was commemorated by patients and alumni joining together with staff to plant an oak tree in the main courtyard of the facility.

Accreditation is a key component of our ability to fill every room at the Champion Center. Receiving accreditation status qualifies us to contract with insurance companies and Tricare to be an “in-network” healthcare provider. It also establishes our clinical expertise and standard of care.

In July, the Champion Center completed a Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities survey. This achievement establishes the Champion Center as one of only a few dually accredited treatment facilities.

The Champion Center strives to be a local and national center of excellence in the treatment of addictions and related issues. Our progress in reaching that goal is marked by our continuing achievements, community support, and positive patient feedback.

With our specialty focus on trauma in the context of chemical dependency treatment, our emerging “Heroes Program” will provide much-needed care for first responders.

For all those struggling with alcohol, prescription medications, and other substances, the Champion Center is here for you.
