LVMC Transitions to State Myturn Vaccination Sign-up

Lompoc Valley Medical Center has now reached its capacity for vaccination appointments scheduled through the LVMC Vaccine call-in number or email and is transitioning its vaccine appointment system to the State of California’s MyTurn.

After this week’s vaccination clinics at LVMC conclude on Friday, April 9, all further first dose vaccination appointments at LVMC must be scheduled through MyTurn. Anyone who has emailed or called and is on our to-be-scheduled list -- and has not had their first vaccine dose by Friday, April 9 -- will need to go to to register for an appointment.

For those who have already requested a vaccine appointment, LVMC is working on getting as many people as possible scheduled for a vaccination appointment by Friday.

“We apologize for any inconvenience to those who are required to ‘re-request’ an appointment,” said LVMC Chief Executive Officer Steve Popkin. “Hopefully it will be a small number of people, as we transition to the State of California’s program.”

Those who had their first vaccine dose at LVMC on or before April 9 do not need to use MyTurn for their second dose appointment. People in that category should return to LVMC on the date shown on the back of their Vaccination Record Card, at approximately the same time as their first dose appointment.

The state system will be operational Saturday, April 10. The site allows people to check their eligibility for a vaccine and to view available appointments at various vaccine clinic sites, including LVMC. For more information about the MyTurn Scheduling tool, call (833) 422-4255.

As of this week, LVMC has administered more than 15,000 total doses of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, including providing a full vaccine course to almost 6,000 Santa Barbara County residents.
