Vaccine Update - April 5, 2021

LVMC is joining the Santa Barbara County Public Health Department in opening up vaccine appointments later this week for anyone age 16 and older.

While the state of California set April 15 as the opening for vaccine eligibility in that age range, the county currently has a great number of unfilled vaccination appointment slots.

Lompoc Valley Medical Center also has open appointment slots for the Pfizer vaccine available on Thursday and Friday for anyone age 16 and older. LVMC is not yet live on the State’s MyTurn scheduling/registration system, so to request an appointment for this Thursday or Friday, email vaccine@lompocvmc.com or call (805) 875-8909. The phone line message may still indicate the existing (not the new) eligibility requirements. Individuals should leave their name and phone number, and an LVMC representative will call them as soon as possible to schedule an appointment.

There are also approximately 5,000 county appointments available at Allan Hancock Community College in Santa Maria and the Santa Barbara Hilton Beachfront Resort in Santa Barbara. To learn more about the county’s vaccination clinic, and to register for an appointment, please click on https://publichealthsbc.org/phd-vaccination-clinics/. Those interested may also call 2-1-1 and press Option 4 for assistance in scheduling a county vaccination appointment.
