New Rules for Hospital Visitors Now in Effect

In compliance with the California Public Health Officer Order issued to help limit the spread of COVID-19, new visitation rules are now in effect for Lompoc Valley Medical Center and the Comprehensive Care Center.

Effective Aug. 11, 2021, all visitors requesting to enter LVMC or the CCC must show proof of being fully vaccinated or proof of a negative COVID-19 test within the prior 72 hours of requested entry. There are limited exceptions, such as visiting a patient in critical condition, when death may be imminent.

Visitors may show a legal Vaccine Record Card in paper, photographic or digital form.

These rules apply to visitors only; patients needing to access LVMC’s services are not bound by this specific order.

All people entering Lompoc Valley Medical Center or the Comprehensive Care Center must wear a medical-grade mask at all times while on the property.

LVMC will be offering rapid COVID-19 tests to visitors without proof of vaccination or recent negative COVID test. The result turnaround time for the rapid test is approximately 15 minutes.
