We regularly treat patients with infectious diseases, so our infection-prevention protocols are rigorous and time-tested. Our Quality Assurance and Infection Prevention team are in continuous contact with public health officials. We continue to monitor COVID-19 developments closely.

To ensure your care is performed safely, we are adhering to stringent guidelines established by the:

  • Centers for Disease Control (CDC)
  • California Department of Public Health (CDPH)
  • Santa Barbara County Public Health Department (SBCPHD)
  • American College of Surgeons and other trusted medical association

We are focused on creating the safest possible environment for care. We have added to our already stringent safety protocols to ensure you continue to receive excellent and safe care for your next visit.

Wearing a mask is required of our providers, staff, and visitors in all areas and all facilities.

Social Distancing

Social Distancing

Patient rooms, waiting rooms, and other common areas at all Lompoc Health facilities are arranged and marked to ensure proper social distancing. Our emergency room has a separate entrance.

Restricted Visitor Policy

We are limiting people coming into our facilities. Those that are permitted will undergo a symptom screening and temperature check, and will be required to wear a mask.

Lompoc Valley Medical Center and Lompoc Health facilities stringently follow cleaning protocols that provide a daily defense for infection control. Our staff are regularly cleaning waiting areas, patient rooms, and exam rooms in between visits, and hand sanitizer stations are located throughout our facilities.

COVID Screening

COVID Screening

Patients will undergo a symptoms screening and temperature check upon entry into each facility. Prior to a procedure, giving birth in our hospital, or an inpatient stay, patients will be tested for COVID-19.
