Getting an accurate diagnosis is the first step toward better sleep and better health. At LVMC’s accredited Sleep Disorder Center, we offer advanced, patient-friendly sleep testing options to help identify the cause of your symptoms—whether you’re dealing with snoring, daytime fatigue, or more complex conditions like sleep apnea or narcolepsy.
We provide two types of diagnostic testing:
If your provider suspects you have obstructive sleep apnea and no other major health conditions are present, you may qualify for a Home Sleep Test—a convenient and cost-effective option you can complete in your own bed.
What to Expect:
You’ll be provided with a small, wearable device to take home. That
night, you’ll wear sensors on your finger, chest, and nasal cannula
in your nose to monitor your sleep. You’ll return the equipment
the next day, and your results will be interpreted by our board-certified
sleep specialists.
For a more comprehensive evaluation — or when complex symptoms are involved — we offer overnight sleep studies in our comfortable, private lab suites.
What to Expect:
You’ll arrive in the evening and be shown to your private room. Our
technologists will apply small sensors to collect sleep data while you
rest. Your comfort and privacy are top priorities. In the morning, you’ll
be free to resume your day while our specialists analyze the results.
Once your data is reviewed, your provider will discuss the results with you and recommend a personalized treatment plan. This may include lifestyle changes, CPAP or Inspire® therapy, or additional testing. Our team is here to guide you every step of the way — from diagnosis through long-term care.
