Board Meetings

Lompoc Valley Medical Center (LVMC) is governed by the Ralph M. Brown Act. The Brown Act states that the people have the right of access to information concerning the conduct of the people’s business, and therefore, the meetings of public bodies and the writings of public officials and agencies shall be open to public scrutiny.

Board of Directors

LVMC Board members are publicly elected to four-year terms. Elections are held in the General Election of even-numbered years. In 2026, there will be 2 seats open for election. Board members may also be appointed by the LVMC Board if a Board vacancy occurs between election cycles. There is no limit on the number of terms an LVMC Board member may serve.
