Flower Valley Golf Classic Raises More Than $106,000 For Expanded Healthcare Access

With the support of golfers, sponsors, donors and auction bidders, the Lompoc Hospital District Foundation raised $106,296 with its 2026 Flower Valley Golf Classic tournament in May.

The nonprofit Foundation hosted the tournament at the Mission Club in Vandenberg Village, with more than 120 golfers enjoying the challenging and picturesque course.

Proceeds from this year’s Flower Valley Golf Classic will be donated to Lompoc Valley Medical Center to assist in the opening of the planned Lompoc Health – Village Center on Constellation Avenue. Specifically, this year’s fundraising will focus on supporting the new facility’s Lab and X-Ray departments.

“Thanks to all of our supporters, we had another successful Flower Valley Golf Classic,” said Foundation President and Tournament Co-Chair Alice Milligan. “Our main tournament sponsors were Baroda Farms and the Lompoc Valley Community Healthcare Organization (LVCHO). It was a perfect day with 128 golfers enjoying a day of golf, followed with dinner and an auction at the Mission Club. Special thanks to the Mission Club staff who always do a perfect job of making all of our golfers and guests feel welcome. We could not do all of this without our outstanding Foundation volunteers who spend countless hours planning and working on this event. Thank you to the Lompoc community for always supporting our events.”

The tournament benefitted from a tremendous number of sponsors, including the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians as Flagstick sponsors and Jim Vreeland Ford as the tournament Hole in One sponsor. Barbara Culberson was the Auction Sponsor. Other sponsors include the Accounting Benefactor of Walker, Wilson and Hughen CPAs. The event Lunch sponsor was Jordano’s and the Happy Hour sponsor was Mission Linen. Major Benefactors this year were Allan Hancock College, Corvus Wealth Advisors and Altera Digital Health.

At the conclusion of the tournament, the 1st Net Team winners were Kyle Perry, Cody Perry, Nicholas Martinez and Isaac Thomas. The 1st Gross Team winners were Derek Petrak, Mitch Petrak, Don Wildes and Kevin Wildes.

The Putting Contest winner was Kevin Williams. The Straightest Drive winner was Ramon Hernandez. The Longest Drive winners were Gary Perkins and Mariah Hall.

The nonprofit Lompoc Hospital Foundation was founded more than 35 years ago to help LVMC purchase medical equipment and assist with capital improvements. The Flower Valley Golf Classic is the Foundation’s major fundraiser of the year.

The Foundation’s next fundraiser is the Colorthon 5K at the Mission Club on September 26. More information will be available in the coming months.
