Specialized Care for Cancer and Blood Disorders
Personalized Expertise for a Wide Range of Conditions
At Lompoc Health – Hematology Oncology, we specialize in diagnosing
and treating a diverse array of cancers and blood-related conditions in
adult patients. Our providers work closely with each individual to understand
their unique medical history, current health status and personal goals
— ensuring that every care plan is tailored, compassionate and evidence-based.
We care for patients with both malignant and non-malignant conditions,
including:
-
Solid Tumor Cancers such as breast, colon, lung, prostate and gynecologic cancers. Our team
develops individualized treatment plans using the latest therapies and
works in coordination with regional radiation oncology specialists when needed.
-
Lymphoma including both Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin forms. We support patients through
diagnosis, staging and medical management, offering treatment options
such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
-
Multiple Myeloma, which is a complex cancer of plasma cells requiring ongoing management
and supportive care. We provide advanced therapies and continuous monitoring
to address symptoms and preserve quality of life.
-
Anemia and Blood Cell Disorders, including iron deficiency anemia, vitamin deficiency-related anemia and
anemia of chronic disease. We offer infusion treatments, injections and
nutritional support and education as part of comprehensive care.
-
Bone Marrow Disorders such as myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) or other marrow-related abnormalities.
Our hematology team works to manage these often complex conditions through
targeted therapies and surveillance.
-
Iron Deficiency, whether caused by gastrointestinal bleeding, dietary insufficiency, gastric
bypass, or before or after chronic illness. Iron deficiency can significantly
affect quality of life. Our clinic provides iron infusions and coordinates
with referring specialists to identify the underlying cause.
-
Chronic Kidney Disease–Related Anemia. For this illness, we offer anemia management for patients with CKD, including
erythropoietin-stimulating agents and intravenous iron therapy when appropriate.
Treatments are available to CKD patients not on hemodialysis.
Please note: We do not currently treat
acute leukemia in our facility. However, we are committed to helping patients navigate
timely referrals to regional academic or specialty cancer centers that
offer this level of care.
Focused on Early Detection and Timely Treatment
Early diagnosis and rapid initiation of treatment are essential to improving
outcomes. That’s why we emphasize collaboration with referring providers,
routine screenings when indicated and prompt evaluation of suspicious
symptoms or lab results.
Whether you are referred to us for a new diagnosis, a second opinion, or
long-term management of a chronic condition, our team is here to support
you with respect, transparency and clinical excellence.
