Surgical Weight Loss Seminars & Support

Surgical Weight Loss Seminars & Support

Lompoc Valley Medical Center is expanding its healthcare offerings to the community with the introduction of surgical and medication weight loss programs.

Our weight loss program team includes Dr. Farida Bounoua, FACS and Dr. Christopher Taglia, offering either the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass or laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy.

The programs are aimed at helping area residents improve their general well-being and quality of life. Our weight loss team understands the struggle people face when trying to lose weight. We’re here for you, providing guidance and support.

Once you’ve made the decision to lose weight surgically or with the use of medication, we’ll provide nutrition support, counseling, support groups and continuing care.

Informational Seminar

First Wednesday Every Month 5 - 6 pm

Take your first steps toward a healthier, more active life by joining us for a free informational seminar on Lompoc Valley Medical Center’s new surgical weight loss program. You’ll learn about local options for surgical weight loss, hear about our comprehensive preand post-surgical plans and get your questions answered.

Nutrition Education Seminar

If you are considering weight loss surgery, or have taken your first steps in the process, this seminar will help you learn more about the important lifestyle changes necessary for successful outcomes. This seminar is for those planning to undergo weight loss, or bariatric, surgery at LVMC.
Our goal is to provide you with the knowledge to improve your health and to prepare you for the lifestyle changes you will experience following weight loss surgery.
