Quality of Care & Patient Surveys

Lompoc Valley Medical Center is committed to providing safe, high quality, compassionate and patient-centered healthcare services to our community.

There are two important aspects of that care: the clinical quality (as measured by outcomes) and the patients’ perspective (as measured by various surveys). We take both of these very seriously. We want to make sure that you get the best care possible.

We take many steps to ensure we provide safe care and outstanding customer service. Those efforts include:

  • Investment in state-of-the-art technology for our physicians and staff.
  • Allowing staff to train in the latest techniques.
  • Recruiting physicians to the area to maintain or add to the services provided.
  • Integrating with local clinics to retain services in the community.

One important aspect of the community’s involvement in our progress comes through numerous surveys.

The HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) survey is a national, standardized, publicly reported survey of patients’ perspectives of hospital care.

Information gathered through these random surveys, in particular, gives us a solid way of evaluating and improving our performance.

LVMC is the gateway to the community’s healthcare needs, and we take this responsibility very seriously.

We are taking many steps to improve our services and are investing heavily in retaining the current services we offer, while also endeavoring to attract new services and providers into our region.

We can do better, with the help of the community – our friends, neighbors, and family. If you receive an HCAHPS survey after a hospital stay, please complete and return it. And we thank you for allowing us to provide your care.
