Flower Valley Golf Classic Seeking Teams, Sponsors for May Event, CoastHills Credit Union Joins as Major Sponsor

Tickets are now on sale for the Lompoc Hospital District Foundation's Flower Valley Golf Classic, banquet, and auction on May 12, 2023.

The event at the Mission Club in Vandenberg Village is the major fundraising effort for the nonprofit Foundation, which was established in 1990.

The day-long classic includes 18 holes of golf at the picturesque course; a tasty buffet dinner, and live and silent auctions.

CoastHIlls Credit Union has pledged $10,000 as a Major Sponsor of the event this year.

Proceeds from this year's Flower Valley Golf Classic will be donated to Lompoc Valley Medical Center (LVMC) to assist in its mission of expanding healthcare services, facilities, and educational opportunities in our community.

This year, the funds will be used to purchase new equipment and materials for the Rehabilitation Services Department serving LVMC, the Comprehensive Care Center, and Lompoc Health – North H Center. The Rehabilitation Services team provides Physical and/or Occupational Therapy to hundreds of patients every year.

Among the purchases will be equipment to provide physical assistance to patients with limited movement; a ramp to simulate real-world obstacles; speech therapy assessment tools, and a treadmill and recumbent bike to aid with the progression of higher-level activity in the outpatient setting.

The Foundation is actively seeking golfers, sponsors, and auction donors for this year. All Golf Classic sponsors are recognized in the event awards program and listed prominently on a tee sign on the green, visible to more than 150 golfers and others the day of the tournament.

Registration for the golf portion of the day is $150. The entry fee includes a tee prize, lunch, a round of golf, door prize ticket, and a buffet dinner. Anyone may attend the evening's banquet around 5:30 p.m. with the purchase of a $30 ticket. Tickets may be purchased online.

The Foundation is a 501c (3) nonprofit organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law. The Foundation's Federal Tax ID # is 77-0262454.

Ticket purchases and donations may be made via the Foundation website.
