Occupational Medicine Physician to lecture on Healthy Living in Modern Space Age

Lompoc Health’s Occupational and Environmental Medicine director will present a free lecture June 17 on “Healthy Living in the Modern Space Age.”

Dr. Supreet Khare, MPH, MBA, PhD, will speak at the free lecture at 6 p.m. at the Dick DeWees Community and Senior Center. The center is located at 1120 W. Ocean Ave. Reservations are not required.

The presentation is part of the Lompoc Hospital District Foundation’s Community Education Lecture Series.

Dr. Khare will introduce the community to the positive and practical aspects of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. As Medical Director of Occupational and Environmental Medicine at Lompoc Health – North H Center, he will discuss how modern lifestyles, workplaces, technology,

environmental factors, stress, sleep, ergonomics and changing community dynamics can influence health and wellbeing.

Dr. Khare’s presentation will focus on education, prevention and practical takeaways that community members and families can apply in their daily lives to stay healthy in modern communities.

He will also discuss:

• Thriving alongside technology and industry
• Healthy living and resilience
• Preventive health strategies

Dr. Khare specializes in Industrial Medicine, Preventive Medicine, Public Health, Toxicology and Internal Medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the Armed Forces Medical College in India. He completed a Medicine Residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson and earned his MPH in Occupational Health from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. He completed his Occupational Medicine Residency at the University of Cincinnati. He also holds a Ph.D. in psychology from the Indian Institute of Research and Technology and an Executive Master of Business Administration degree in Healthcare Management from the Indian Management School and Research Center in Mumbai.
